Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Weavers Triangle Visitor Centre

Based at Burnley Wharf by the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, the Visitor Centre tells the story of the canal, cotton and the Weavers' Triangle.
Oak Mount Mill was built in the 1830 and produced cotton until 1979, making it one of the last steam-powered mills in Burnley. The 1887 W & J Yates steam engine has been restored with help from the HLF and the Science Museum PRISM Fund. It is now operated by an electric motor on certain days.
